At the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Institute of Theoretical Informatics), the group Algorithm Engineering focuses on the "basic toolbox" of methods that are needed in many applications, e.g., sorting, index data structures, route planning in graphs, hashing, SAT solving, and partitioning graphs. This retreat offers members of the group, especially those who work in different fields, the opportunity to present their latest research results in detail and to talk about topics of common interest in general.
