Automated debugging can identify suspicious code but often cannot explain why a program failed. This software engineering project investigates behavioral representations of how programs run, as a basis for human-readable failure diagnoses. It studies how these diagnoses can improve fault localization, guide targeted test generation, and provide diagnostic context for automated program repair.
