We will present recent results from the areas of text algorithms, combinatorics on strings, algorithmic bioinformatics, and parallel algorithmics. This will hopefully identify new research directions and open problems that will be subject to further research by our group members. Apart from pure theoretical research we will also pay particular attention to algorithm engineering.
