Programm
The week serves as exposition of one or two of the main core areas of the SFB-TRR 195 project from the PhD students currently working in that area. It consists of introductory workshops (so no previous preparation is requested) and exercise sessions to help the understanding of the subject.
This year there will be lectures about representation theory of finite groups as well as a small introduction to algebraic groups. In the scope of the SFB-TRR 195, problems in this area can be solved using computer programmes, such as MAGMA, GAP, and Singular. This is possible, as both subjects allow an algorithmic approach.
