Do not forget:
- If you are resubmitting a proposal for a seminar that already took place in some form but was adversely affected by the pandemic, please make sure to include in the proposal a concise description of what the seminar that took place achieved and a discussion of how the proposed seminar is to build upon it and what you learned from it for the proposed seminar.
- If you are resubmitting a proposal that was previously rejected, please make sure to include in the proposal an overview of what changed as compared to the rejected proposal, as well as a discussion of the feedback received and how you addressed it while reworking the proposal.
Changes March 2022
- Blockout dates and preferred dates can only be specified later on (TBA). We will send an email to all contact authors to announce the opening of the date selection.
Changes April 2021
Proposal numbers have now the new form YYYYMMNNN instead of the old form NN-MMYY (YY or YYYY and MM is the year and (formal) month of the selection meeting, NN or NNN is a consecutive proposal number unique for one proposal round).
Deadlines:
Proposal metadata for the current submission round may be registered between Friday, April 01 and Friday, April 15, 2022 (Anywhere on Earth). Please upload your final proposal by Friday, April 22, 2022 (Anywhere on Earth).
Our Scientific Directorate will review all submissions and meet to finalize its assessment in June 2022. You will be notified of the Directorate's decision (acceptance, rejection, or request for revising the proposal) likely in July 2022.
Seminars and workshops approved in this submission round are likely to be scheduled in 2023/2024.
Details about scheduling options will be published at a later date. We will ask contact authors about preferred and block-out dates at this time as well.
If you decide not to submit your proposal during the current round, you are welcome to submit it during the next submission round with deadline November 01, 2022.
General information:
When preparing your proposal, please consult our guidelines described on our proposal submission web pages.
A complete submission should contain the following four parts:
- The proposal metadata (like title, authors, etc). A printout of the online form used for entering the requested metadata can be found here.
- The complete proposal as a single pdf file.
- A csv file containing the list of invitees. An example can be found here.
- Optionally, a list of preferred dates and block-out dates for your proposed seminar.
Submission procedure:
- Choose "Register a proposal" to start your proposal submission by entering the metadata of your proposal. During this step, you'll be asked to choose a password. You will need this password if you later return to DOSA in order to update / finalize your submission.
- Once you have successfully registed the metadata, you will automatically be logged in to our DOSA submission system. Please note the proposal ID that appears on the top of the page in the right side of the header lines, which will be also sent to you via email.
- Either immediately after registering your proposal metadata or after logging into DOSA with proposal ID and your password chosen in Step 1, you can enter/upload/modify all proposal parts. You can also change your password at this point.
- Enter your proposal-ID and password and press "Sign In" to log in when you will return to this page after proposal registration.
- All registered proposals will be considered by Dagstuhl's staff. Please contact dosa@dagstuhl.de if you would like to withdraw your registered proposal.
Submission:
- Proposal metadata registration is closed.
