If the steering committee of a conference series is interested in publishing their proceedings as LIPIcs, please apply to LIPIcs Management Bureau at Dagstuhl (see right).
LIPIcs Editorial Policy [1] should provide an indication of the types of conferences accepted for publication.
The application must give sufficient background on the conference:
- information on the steering committee,
- the program committee,
- the expected number of submissions and of accepted papers,
- the expected attendance,
- etc;
if the conference is part of a series, then the application should include those same elements of information on at least the three preceding editions of the conference, as well as links to the relevant websites and access to the proceedings of these past conferences.
As much as possible, this information should be given in electronic form.
The information concerning the application is passed on to the Editorial Board chair who consults the Editorial Board members and/or external experts, esp. if the scope of the conference is not in the broad field already represented in the series Editorial Board.
(In case of a positive decision, the Editorial Board will be enlarged by two experts of the new field.)
A positive decision for recurrent conferences is valid for at most five years. Afterwards a new application has to be made.
More detailed information on the dedcision procedure and a possible extension of the Editorial Board can be found in the announcement [2] of the series.
