Which conferences are included in LIPIcs?

What is the scope of LIPIcs?

LIPIcs is open for all fields of Informatics.

What is the accepante rate of LIPIcs?

By Spring 2012, the acceptance rate was roughly 50%.

Is access to the publications in LIPIcs free?

As LIPIcs is published on DROPS (Dagstuhl Research Online Publication Server) under an open access license, the retrieval of all documents is free of charge.

How is the Editorial Board formed – and developing?

The initial composition of the Editorial Board [13] (EB) reflects the origin of LIPIcs with two conferences in theoretical computer science. The board will be enlarged as new areas of computer science are represented in the series.

(More details [14] )

How did the Editorial Board work until now?

The main work was the careful handling of applications, in order to develop LIPIcs into a top quality series. In the first months of LIPIcs (i.e. since May 2009), several applications were rejected, and one was accepted. Another question currently under discussion is a first enlargement of the EB by new members.

How is long-term availability guaranteed?

How does one cite papers in LIPIcs-conferences?

Citation is guaranteed due to the long-term availability, the assignment of persistent identifiers (DOI, URN) and the thorough collection of all necessary meta data.

LIPIcs conference papers are cited as any other conference paper (print or online), with addition of the DOI/URN:
<author>, <title>, in <editors>, Eds., <conference>, Leibniz International Proceedings in Informatics, Vol. <no.>, <year>, pp. <no> - <no>, <DOI/URN>

To facilitate citation, each publication in LIPIcs is supplemented by a BibTeX-entry (see e.g. Preface in STACS 2009 [15] ).

Is LIPIcs included in the main scientific indices?

All LIPIcs volumes are indexed at DBLP, see LIPIcs at DBLP [16] .
Furthermore, the volumes are submitted to Thomson Reuter's Conference Proceedings Citation Index [17] (CPCI).

Are there costs that a conference associated with LIPIcs incur?

Dagstuhl will charge a nominal publication fee to cover the costs. However, due to a share of workload between LIPIcs office and the conference's program chair, the publication fee will be kept to a minimum. The cost of the past volumes for STACS and FSTTCS was between 500 and 800 Euro each.

Is there a package that includes printed proceedings?

Usually the most efficient solution is a local printing at the conference institution. Dagstuhl may help finding a German printer, however all negotiations, costs for printing and postal delivery are left to the conference organizers.

Is there a LaTeX style for LIPIcs?

Yes, it is available via the author's instructions [18] .

Where can I get additional administrative and technical information?

More details can be found on the web pages of our online publication server DROPS [19] .
