The Center's main events — the Dagstuhl Seminars and Dagstuhl Perspectives Workshops — are supplemented by further events.

These events include the following:

• Continuing education offerings of the German Informatics Academy (DIA), , summer schools, CPD for teachers and instructors,
• Departmental conferences of university chairs, graduate colleges, GI specialist groups and other academic and industrial working groups,
• International informatics conferences.

Research guests, seeking to spend a working retreat at the Center lasting several days or weeks are also welcome.
 

These events are individually organized. In these cases Schloss Dagstuhl LCI merely serves as a fully equipped conference hotel, however it is not involved with the content or quality of the events. There are no restrictions applicable to the nationality of the organizers or participants.

The participants at these events are all chosen and vetted by their respective organizers.

In contrast to the Dagstuhl Seminars and Dagstuhl Perspectives Workshops, a fee (in some cases slightly subsidized) covering the costs of the event is charged to the guests or the institution organizing the event.
