Funding

Until the end of 2005, Schloss Dagstuhl - Leibniz-Zentrum für Informatik (LZI) was jointly funded by the German states of Saarland and Rheinland-Palatinate with support from numerous sponsors from industry and from publishing houses. Since 2006, the center has also received funding from the German federal government. It is mainly thanks to this financial backing that informatics researchers from around the world now have a center in which to exchange ideas, advance their research and open up new fields of application.

As a non-profit institution, Schloss Dagstuhl is of course always grateful to receive donations that directly support its work. Such contributions can be earmarked for a specific purpose or freely given for use towards any of the center's current activities. Please contact us for further details.

You can also support the association "Friends of Dagstuhl" (Verein zur Förderung von Schloss Dagstuhl - Leibniz-Zentrum für Informatik e.V.) through your membership fee or donation. The association administers the goods and resources of the Dagstuhl Foundation (Stiftung Informatikzentrum Schloss Dagstuhl) with the basic mission to support science and research at Schloss Dagstuhl. Detailed information and contact persons can be found under www.friends-of-dagstuhl.de
