Until the end of 2005, Schloss Dagstuhl - Leibniz-Zentrum für Informatik (LZI) was jointly funded by the German states of Saarland and Rheinland-Palatinate with support from numerous sponsors from industry and from publishing houses. Since 2006, the center has also received funding from the German federal government. It is mainly thanks to this financial backing that informatics researchers from around the world now have a center in which to exchange ideas, advance their research and open up new fields of application.
As a non-profit institution, Schloss Dagstuhl is of course always grateful to receive donations that directly support its work. Such contributions can be earmarked for a specific purpose or freely given for use towards any of the center's current activities. Please contact us for further details.
Schloss Dagstuhl has long been in the process of establishing a foundation to financially support the collective interests and goals of the center and permit a flexible reaction to unforeseen challenges. This initiative is currently being restructured. Further details will be published once the new organizational structure has been set.
